In collaboration with artist and writer Himali Singh Soin and exhibition designers Future Firm, TWM designed and produced a series of woven panels for installation in Soin’s first solo exhibition in the United States, Static Range, installed at the Art Institute of Chicago in 2022-2023.

The textiles designed and woven by TWM featured structural and textural static that played with rhythms of transparency and opacity. When installed in the round in the gallery, the textiles created a central space that both disrupted and facilitated a multilayered experience of video, sound, object and text.

Static Range was one instantiation of Soin’s ongoing work exploring the intertwined histories and futures of nuclear landscapes. Conceived as an immersive environment, Static Range presented a constellation of various media, including poetry, music, video, textile, ceramic, works on paper, and a therapeutic garden.
