Spiral Patchwork Pillow

$130.00

These pillow covers are pieced together using the offcut selvedge strips from our 3-13 wool scarves. Playing with the 2-toned selvedges inherent to the cloth, we pieced these using a classic Log Cabin block that neither begins nor ends, but rather homes in, continuously…. Deadstock velvet backing cloth rounds out this very special pillow cover. Very limited edition.

Each pillow cover measures 19” x 21”
Inserts not included.

Dry clean or hand wash, hang to dry.

A play on plaids, a play on interlacements, a conversation between colors: this wool fabric is built with 3-thread windowpanes surrounded by 13-thread fields. A compound twill and satin weave brings color and interlacement into focus. The lightweight wool yarn, ever so gently wet-finished, is warm without being heavy.

In early 2025, JaggerSpun closed its doors after 100+ years in business. For those not in the know, Jagger was a worsted spinning mill in Springvale, Maine that had been around since the 1880s. They made a beautiful range of wool yarns that were a staple of our yarn library. The loss of this mill is a real blow to the domestic yarn and textile landscape. As they liquidated their inventory, we bought up as much yarn as we could afford, without particular projects in mind, trying to imagine what colors and weights could become TWM projects down the line…

This plaid emerged from that cabinet of wools and we think of it as an homage of sorts to the beautiful worsted wools that Jagger spent 100+ years producing.
