Syncopation, Temperature, Proportion, Saturation, Rhythm: these are several of the pressing aesthetic & philosophical issues tended to by this duet of cotton blankets. Which one speaks to you? Color mixing in weaving is an exercise in perception, balance and patience.

COLOR MIX: BLENDED takes Pistachio, Peach, Cadmium and Cobalt yarns and blends them in an out of one another and the warp stripe to create a series of crystalline color fields, which for some mysterious reason, call to mind light streaming through a stained glass window.

COLOR MIX: BANDED takes Pistachio, Cobalt, Tangerine and Teal yarns and tosses them boldly across one another. Saturation is the name of the game in this blanket—colors operating at full strength, laid down in broad strokes. In both of the blankets, the elements of color mixing are tangible, visible, discernable.

These blankets are an outgrowth of our forthcoming CALIBRATION collection of Fabrics-by-the-Yard, designed in collaboration with Annie Irwin, which will be released spring 2022. Until then, tide yourself over with one or both of these fine cotton color fields.
